Therapy is an investment in your future happiness, health, and well being. This is why I say that therapy "adds Life to your Years." It may not make you live longer but it can make every day brighter, happier, more rewarding, and less costly. That is major motivation for relationship work early in marriage and work for self improvement.
Therapy typically lasts 3-6 months on a weekly basis. I occasionally see people more or less frequently. On average, you will see improvement in 4-6 sessions!
My Approach
I believe that each of us can enjoy relationships with others including family, romantic partners, parent/child, sibling, and work relationships. Unfortunately, at times, this becomes difficult for many reasons. When joy in any relationship breaks down significantly, and does not improve within a reasonable amount of time, then it may be time to get some help. It is my goal to help improve connections to others so that there is peace, if not joy, in all your relationships. This includes with yourself, your partner, children, family, and at work and/or other places outside of your immediate circle. I advocate making good choices about who you spend time with and how you interact with others. This may mean letting go of destructive relationships with people who are not that important to you. It may mean limiting where, when, how much and under what circumstances you spend time with family and friends. I can help you find what is comfortable for you.
